In the month of diabetes awareness (November), and within the efforts of the medical center represented by the Health Education Department and its role in societal and educational participation in the health of the individual and society, the World Diabetes Day was activated on Monday, 11/22/2021 AD in the medical center and on Tuesday 23/11/2021 in the University Square complex and the event included the following:

• Checking the blood sugar level and clarifying the normal range and how to maintain it
• Measuring body mass index and clarifying obesity problems
• Diabetes causes, symptoms, complications, and ways to avoid them
• Diabetes prevention tips
• Types of diabetes medications
• How to take care of diabetic feet
• Distribution of awareness leaflets

The Health Education Department at the Medical Center also organized an awareness lecture in this regard for the university community through the Microsoft Teams program on Sunday, November 21, 2021.
