The Saudi Red Crescent unit was established in the medical center after an agreement was signed between the Saudi Red Crescent Authority and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, provided that the unit handles all emergency medical cases on campus over the course of 24 hours.

The Red Crescent team also supervises the ambulances of the medical center and ensures that they are provided with all the necessary medical supplies and equipment on a regular basis.
